So many people seem fascinated by the lives of celebrities and politicians, athletes and authors. But how often do we view our own lives as interesting? How many times do we think of our friends and family as unique in their own right? Aren’t average, down-to-earth people every bit as notable and relevant as movie stars and sports heroes?
We at Professional Tributes believe every human life has a story to tell. We think average people are fascinating. And we believe real life stories deserve attention, dignity and honor.
That is why we have applied our expertise in documentary production to real world people. For the staff at Professional Tributes, documenting someone’s life is like writing a book with a story line that could never be imagined or ever be reproduced. And for the future generations of any one person’s life, the true stories we convey aren’t mere entertainment. They are genealogical history. Imagine two hundred years from now, someone from your same blood line knowing who you were and what your life was like.
Professional Tributes founder Mark Garay spent 20 years as a news anchor and reporter. He covered significant local, national and international events. He traveled to other countries to report on political, social and economic issues. He covered crime, medicine and devastating hurricanes and floods. But over the course of his career, it was the “every man” story which fascinated him the most. He remembers a story he did on an old pharmacy which was set for demolition in order to make room for a new strip mall. The pharmacy was over 40 years old, and had come to serve as a symbol in the community. They still made ice cream sodas by hand, and medicines were still ground with expert precision and a lot of elbow grease. Most importantly, that pharmacy was a place for people to gather, joke, talk about sports and ask about family. It was a community within a community. And it had a story to tell.
Today, Mark and his staff at Professional Tributes continue that storytelling style, using expert techniques and innovative equipment. We use only High Definition cameras and the latest editing software to give our clients a broadcast-quality product. The people who make up Professional Tributes share 20 Emmy awards earned over the years, and have a combined 63 years experience in video production. We pay very close attention to accuracy, and we write your script to convey a sense of emotion and dignity.
Our personal documentaries honor everyone, from mechanics to merchants, doctors to deliverymen, corporate CEOs to public servants. Professional Tributes makes every personal documentary engaging and important.
After all, every human life has a story to tell.
